BILSON Diana

I’m Diana, I’m 70, retired and I’m an Irish citizen. I have lived in Le Dorat since 2014. I have a degree in French Studies from Portsmouth University which is where I met my late husband David.
I’m a former teacher of English and I worked for London Underground for many years before retiring in 2013. My working life taught me many things; to work as part of a team, to explore options and possibilities for improved working, to use my initiative. These are all skills I hope to bring to this group. My hobbies include knitting, sewing and reading and I am the secretary for the Association Rendez-vous de la Chapelle in Le Dorat.
We chose to live in this Petite Cité de Caractère because it has everything we need. There are many English-speaking Britons and Europeans living in our Commune and I believe it is important to ensure they are aware of what is happening in the town and are encouraged to take part whenever possible, I would like to help to develop this link which is why I am part of this list.
