I’m Sophie, 40 years old, married with two children, I’ve been living in le Dorat since 2009.
I started my pottery business in 2010 so everyone started calling me "Sophie la potière" [1], then we bought a house in the center of the town to install my shop.
I feel implicated in the urban planning, the development of Le Dorat, the cleanliness, tourism and social services.
I like meeting people, my shop window is often open and people do stop for a chat quite frequently. My English is unfortunately non-existent, but do stop by and say hi if you want to practice your French !
During the holiday season and the long week-ends, I love welcoming the passing tourists.
My passions are cooking, art it many forms, but also lending a helping hand to those who need and I enjoy helping whenever possible.
I’m the head of the association "Ah la bonne adresse" that sells produce from more than 20 local producers, many of which are for sale in my shop.
